Beginning with an initial gift of $10,000 in 1993, and additional gifts of $40,000 (2004), $10,000 (2005) and $10,000 (2006), McKim & Creed has led the way by endowing the McKim & Creed Scholarship for Excellence, an annual award given by the Foundation to an outstanding engineering student in North Carolina. Giving is at our core at PENC We have numerous scholarships and grants available for our members, children of members, and our communities that are. ![]() For several years, the Foundation has awarded several PENC Scholarships of $500 to $2,000 annually. The initial focus of the Foundation Board was to raise an adequate endowment to grant scholarships to deserving high school seniors and college students that will aid their study at a North Carolina ABET-accredited school of engineering. The mission of the PENC Educational Foundation is to raise and administer funds to promote engineering education, fund its endowments, and promote excellence in education that impacts the engineering profession.
